STATE TIMES NEWS SRINAGAR: A policeman who had sustained critical injuries after being hit by a load carrier while performing his duty in Rainawari area of Srinagar succumbed to his injuries. As per details, on 13 December, a load-carrier (JK01C-3906) hit a police Head Constable Iftikar Hussain (14/S) when he was performing his duty at Zaind Shah Masjid Chowk in Rainawari. The police constable was shifted to SKIMS, where he died after spending ten days in hospital. FIR No 69/2014 under relevant sections of law was registered and driver of vehicle was arrested, who was identified as Showkat Ismail Langoo, Hassanabad Rainawari. Meanwhile, CCTV Footage of the incident has gone viral on social media where one can see a load-carrier knocking down a police officer while a woman had a miraculous escape.
