JAMMU: JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla on Monday criticized BJP govt for the grim situation in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
He pointed to the spurt in the civilian killings in the Valley and unemployment rate and inflation.
“Situation in J&K is grim. It’s fallout of the failed policies & strategic blunders by Modi govt. No course correction in sight,” he said.
This was stated by former Minister while interacting with aggrieved people of Guru Nank Nagar of Gandhi Nagar constituency on Monday. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Block President Mandeep Singh, Parveen Gupta, Vijay Khajuria Viju, Ram Murti, Parveen Balsotra, Ashwani Sethi, Sanjay Gupta Murli, Jasbir Singh beside others.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said that Congress is the only option left before the people of Jammu and Kashmir as people have bitter experience of Double Engine Govt of BJP'. He alleged that BJP betrayed huge mandate of the people of Jammu by dividing and downgrading Princely historical State of Jammu and Kashmir to two Unions Territories. "People of Jammu and Kashmir are fed up with the hollow slogans andJumla’ politics of BJP. In this situation, BJP’s claimed target of 50 is also a big Jumla and people will give their full support to the Congress which can feel the pulse of the people and can fulfill the genuine urges and aspirations of the people especially youth,” he said. The honour of people of Jammu has been compromised and downgraded by the leaders who claimed to be the champion of their cause in the region. BJP climbed political ladder raising voice against discrimination with people of this region. They ended up doing same disparity with the people who voted them to power to rule the country,” said Bhalla.
He pledged Congress will fight for the cause of Jammuities and also to restore lost honour of J&K.
