21 vehicles seized in Rajouri, 76 violators fined

Rajouri: In order to tighten noose over violators of traffic norms and to initiate legal action against them, Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri launched a special drive against violators and laid different surprise Nakas in the territorial jurisdiction of Rajouri town. These nakas were laid by teams under the supervision of Station House Officer Rajouri, Fareed Ahmed and on directions of SSP Rajouri
During the drive, the violators of traffic rules and regulations were intercepted and 21 vehicles were found plying on road without valid documents after which these vehicles were seized under law. Besides, 76 drivers of different vehicles were found violating traffic rules for which they were fined. These teams also imposed fine on 35 people who were found violating COVID-19 protocols.
