JAMMU: The ancient tradition dedicated to spiritual and academic Guru/Teacher, who enlighten people without any expectation from the pupils, young or old, is more relevant in the present day modern and fast life of the Indian society.
Jammu & Kashmir BJP Spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, said this while greeting people on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima on Saturday.
He said that Guru Purnima is a day which reminds us about the importance of the Guru/Teacher in one’s life and inspire us to come forward to honour such persons who have played decisive role while inducing moral and social values in the society besides training us to face the challenges, overcome obstacles and become successful by achieving desired goal in life. Balbir Ram Rattan, who called on Son of the Soil, Raj Kumar Dogra, an Internationally known meditation, spiritual music Guru and motivational speaker, to honour him on Guru Purnima Day and seek guidance to excel in odds and evens in life, said that all such people are, infact, doing a great service to the humanity and their contribution towards the society as a Guru/Teacher should be recognized and highlighted so that people may get benefitted from them. Balbir said that the basic concept of Guru Purnima need to discussed among the young generation, which has become more attracted towards internet based means of study and entertainment. He expressed hope that the present day pupils would take forward the teacher-student (Guru-Shishya) tradition and not hesitate in expressing their gratitude towards their teachers.
