SRINAGAR: Hyderya Sports FC defeated Lonestar KFC by a solitary goal while SCFA played 1-1 draw against Downtown Hero’s FC in the ongoing first edition of Professional League 2021 played on Tuesday at Synthetic Turf TRC, Srinagar.
The first match was played between Hyderya Sports FC and Lonestar KFC. Both the clubs started with the dominating approach trying to beat the defence lines to find the net. Both got ample opportunities to score but missed the targets. The Ist half ended with goalless draw.
In the second half, Hyderya Sports FC were bent upon taking the lead and made some good moves and all their attempts were foiled by the defence line of LKFC.
In the last minute Hyderya Sports FC were awarded a penalty kick for rough tackling inside the penalty area and Shahnwaz made no mistake in converting the goal. Thus Hyderya Sports FC defeated LKFC by a solitary goal. Salah Shafi of Hyderya Sports FC was declared as the Man of the Match.
In second match, the young squad of SCFA gave a tough resistance to Downtown Hero’s FC and foiled the sure shot chances. The first half ended with goalless draw. The second half was equally full of attacks and counter attacks and it was in the 60th minute that Downtown Hero’s FC was able to convert a free kick in the goal and took the lead through Hanan.
After conceding a goal SCFA boys dominated the scene for a long time and tried their best to equalize. They made certain beautiful moves at the goal and their calculated moves enthralled the audience.
It was in the last minute of the match that SCFA made tremendous move at the goal and scored a brilliant goal through Afnan and leveled the margin. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Afnan was declared as Man of the Match.
