JAMMU: Congress has lashed out at the UT administration for withdrawing the posts referred to PSC and JKSSB prior to October 31, 2019 and termed it illegal, arbitrary and playing with the lives and career of thousands of aspirants who would get overaged while others would have to undergo the entire exercise afresh after several years of wait. Reacting sharply to the decision of AC, in this regard communicated to the recruiting agencies yesterday, Congress said that it amounts to playing with the lives and career of thousands of educated candidates who had applied and undergone the process and selections for different gazetted and non gazetted posts referred prior to Oct, 2019.
They were waiting for declarations of selections lists in some cases or further process of selections in most cases but have been she’ll shocked with this arbitrary decision.
Large number of them would get overaged and others will have to undergo long exercise of waiting for advertisements and selections spread over two years and their entire exercise has gone waist along with fee.
JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma questioned the logic behind and suspected that some influential vested interests prevailed upon the decision to give benefit to some privileged domicile holder post Aug 2019.
Slamming the government over the issues, senior Congress leader Yogesh Sawhney stated the government is playing with the future of the youth of Jammu & Kashmir. The unemployment rate among young people is very high across the nation and in Jammu and Kashmir especially.
While the government should try to remedy that, it is doing exactly the opposite of what is needed, said Sawhney.
The former Minister termed the decision foolish and shameful saying that students and youth members are suffering at the behest of an ignorant government.
