All eyes will now be on Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu’s next political move after Rahul Gandhi on Sunday announced the party’s decision to opt for chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi as the party’s CM face. There is speculation that Sidhu has been given the assurance of a key role if Congress retains power in the state. There was a rare show of bonhomie between Sidhu and Channi on stage in Ludhiana and a seemingly reconciled Sidhu said he was not after any position.
