JAMMU: Police on Wednesday arrested an absconder who was absconding for last 8 years.
As per details, a hardcore criminal cum absconder namely Barkat Ali, son of Saif Ali, resident of Rajpura, was booked under section 512 CrPC issued by Court of Munsiff Court Jammu in 2013 but was evading arrest for last 8 years. After hectic efforts, he was arrested by police.
Soon after receiving information through reliable sources regarding accused, special teams of Police Station Kanha Chak under supervision of SDPO Domana Kousheen Koul were constituted. The team led by SHO Kanha Chak Insp Vishav Pratap Singh raided suspected locations and arrested absconder, who was produced before the court in Jammu.
