Narco smuggler nabbed with heroin

UDHAMPUR: Continuing its fight against drugs, Udhampur police on Wednesday recovered 10 gm Heroin (Chitta) from a narco smuggler at Tikri, Udhampur.
As per details, a party from Police Post Tikri led by Insp Nishant Gupta SHO Rehambal, assisted by Insp Jaswinder Singh Incharge Police Post Tikri under supervision of Anwaar-ul-Haq Addl. SP Udhampur and Sahil Mahajan DySP Hqrs. Udhampur was patrolling near Kali Mata Mandir, Tikri when they apprehended a suspect, who was found roaming in a suspicious manner. On seeing police party he tried to flee, but police caught him and during search, recovered 10 gm heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
The accused, identified as Kulbir Singh, son of Shankar Singh, resident of Ritti, at present Bus stand Udhampur, was arrested and FIR No. 198/2021 under section 8/20 of NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Rehambal.
