Former Union law minister Ashwani Kumar on Tuesday resigned from the Congress, thereby ending a a 46-year-long association with the party.The senior leader from Punjab questioned the internal functioning of the party and predicted that the Congress would fail miserably in the upcoming Punjab assembly elections.
