SUNDERBANI: A major anti-encroachment drive was carried out by Forest Department Sunderbani in which 40 Kanals Forest Land was retrieved & one illegal structure was demolished under compartment number 52 in village Daroon of block Sunderbani from encroachers.
The drive was launched by the directions of conservator Rajouri Vivek Verma under the supervision of Division Forest Officer (DFO) Nowshera Neelma Shah. Officials said a joint team of the Forest Department and Police Department & forest protection force has been constituted for the removal of encroachment across the forest areas of Daroon and strict action would be taken against all indulging in encroachment.
Forest range officer Sunderbani Rakesh Verma along with staff with Magistrate Naib Tehsildar Sunderbani Ashwani Raina and police force rushed on the spot with JCB machine and demolished illegal structure which was constructed by Mohammad Qadir and also evicted 40 kanal forest land which was encroached illegally.
