JAMMU: A two-day CME and Workshop for ultrasound-guided regional blocks was organized by the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care under the aegis of Indian Society of Anaesthesia at GMC Jammu.
Principal GMC Jammu, Dr Shashi Sudan Sharma, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, inaugurated the CME cum Workshop which was attended by over 70 delegates from across J&K. The CME cum Workshop was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Dr Smriti Gulati, HoD Anesthesiology and ICU as Chairperson. Prominent senior faculty who deliberated and interacted with participants during the event included Dr Kulbhushan Gupta HoD Radio-diagnosis & Imaging, Dr Jyoti Khanna, Dr Anju Jamwal and Dr Anita Vig.
Dr Rajesh Mahajan, senior consultant was Organizing Secretary while Dr Naine Bhadrala was Joint Secretary and Dr Shruti Gupta conducted proceedings.
Eminent faculty from AIIMS New Delhi Prof (Dr) Jyotsna Punj, Prof (Dr) Renu Sinha and Prof (Dr) R Pandey were resource-persons. The CME will enhance the capability of the Department and Institute resource in regional blocks for anesthesia and pain medicine, enabling patients to get high-quality facilities in pain management. The CME was attended by a number of faculty members, senior residents and post-graduates.
