JAMMU: First Aid Training camp was organised on weekly basis at Bal Ashram Amphalla Jammu on Friday in which First Aid awareness was imparted to the inmates of the Ashram by Dr Rajinder Thappa, Senior Consultant and First Aid Trainer Jammu and Kashmir.
About twenty five inmates of the Ashram attended the training programme held under supervision of Honourary Secretary of the Ashram.
The main objective of the First Aid Training Programme is to make every one aware how to protect themselves during accidents and how to provide immediate First Aid to the sufferers during accidents and disasters.
Dr Rajinder Thappa told the participants about do’s and don’ts in situations like injuries, snake bites, accidents, fire incidents, electric shock, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), etc.
Dr. Rajinder Thappa also elaborated how to handle First Aid for burns, poisoning epileptic attack, Heart attack, choking, electric shock, fainting, road accident, asthmatic attack, acid attack, drugs intake treatment etc.
He also threw light on the importance of First Aid Training and impressed upon the First Aid trainees to help the needy at the time of any emergency by providing First Aid and save precious lives.
