Should work in spirit of mutual sustenance

Having got cured of corona, the patient could suffer its side effects in the form of ailments in the various parts of the body. This is the finding of none else but Allopath fraternity. But the news that is gaining highlight in the media is that such patients who took Giloy while having corona are now facing the problem in the function of the liver. Those reached to this conclusion are the doctors of Allopath, whereas it would be better to have the views of Ayurveda doctors also in the matter. For, the process of treatment and wellness thereof through Giloy is found in Ayurveda, and from here only world got to know all about it. Either this is cursorily done or no surprise if this might be the brainchild of those elements in Allopath who could not free themselves from the bias against Ayurveda still today.
Fact is that till 15-20 years back we refused to rely- in the views of many to the extent of contempt- on our own traditional knowledge concerning wellness of health. I still remember that a few years back I had to go to a dentist for the treatment of teeth. Advising me for the root-canal therapy, he asked as to which toothpaste I used. As I mentioned the name of an Ayurveda toothpaste, he instantly replied, ‘Throw it away from the window of bathroom.’ In what is called all strictness he prescribed for me the toothpaste of popular brand with allopathic based inorganic contents. Ironically, the things have changed today. In order to remain stayed in the market as before even the biggest of the brands are made to bring the herbal brands, assuring the customers that it is also composed of clove, basil and such other Ayurveda contents.
Few years back in January, 2015 , an event ‘Science Congress’ was organized in Mumbai. In the event the scientists associated with Indo-German project ‘Neuro-Science of Yoga’ also joined. They claimed while presenting their research papers that the days are not far when we would see that like Ayurveda and Yoga experts, the medical practitioners of other medical sciences have begun to prescribe what Yogasana and Pranayam patient should do in what ailment as a treatment.
And today Corona pandemic brought all of a sudden that point of time. Heart-specialist, Psychiatrist or be it the practitioners of any Allopath faculty now we see them advising one or other Yogasanas, along with the medicines for the wellness of the health.
“Yoga strengthens autonomic nervous system of the body. Due to this from Yoga the mental diseases like depression, tension, anxiety, panic attack and such other could be dealt with in a great way.
Actually two kinds of activities human body undergoes – one willingly; second unwillingly. Eating, drinking, bathing etc. is concerned with one’s willingness.
On the other side such are the activities upon which we have no control, like – heart beats, breathing, restlessness and so on. In mental disease like depression the heart-beats, process of breathing get abnormal. Yoga helps in controlling these unwilling activities” – this is what said by no Ayurveda or Yoga expert, but Allopath Psychiatrist, Dr Unnati Kumar.
Instead of taking for a rival the medical sciences should work in tandem with the spirit of mutual sustenance.
In the words of Padam Bhushan awarded Dr Naresh Trehan: ‘The fusion of both modern and ancient medicine helps strengthen your body and fight diseases. This new -era medicine will emerge from India and will also benefit the people who are unable to access quality healthcare services.’
