JAMMU: The Government of Friday constituted Apex Committee and Working Committee for timely implementation of the Digital Jammu and Kashmir Programme in a mission mode.
According to the order issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi. Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, the Apex Committee will be headed by Chief Secretary, J&K as its Chairman while Secretary, Information Technology will be its Member Secretary and Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department; Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Home Department; Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department; Financial Commissioner (Revenue); Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department; Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department; Principal Secretary, General Administration Department; Commissioner Secretary, Revenue Department; Deputy Director General, NIC Headquarters New Delhi; Director IIT Jammu; Chief Executive Officer, JaKeGA; IT-Consultant; State Informatics Officer, NIC-J&K as its Members.
“The Apex Committee shall oversee the Digital Jammu and Kashmir programme and to provide policy and strategic directives for its implementation in mission mode and to resolve interdepartmental issues (if any).” The order stated and added it shall also issue necessary directives for integration of services, end-to-end process reengineering and finalize services levels of the mission mode programme.
The meeting of the Apex Committee shall be held every fortnight, it added.
Working Committee will be headed by Principal Secretary, General Administration Department as its Chairman while Secretary, Information Technology Department will be its Member Secretary and Deputy Director General, NIC; Director IIT Jammu or his representative; IT Consultant; Chief Executive Officer, JaKeGA; State Informatics Officer, NIC; Head, CSC J&K; Head, Aadhar J&K; In charge CDAC, Data Centre-J&K; Any other member as may be co-opted by the Committee will be its Members. “The Working Committee shall oversee and monitor overall architecture/framework and service delivery mechanism at the programme level and also to look at inclusion and adoption of standards, utilization of cloud and mobile platforms and consideration of security related aspects.” It stated and added, “It shall also monitor the progress of implementation of the ‘Digital Jammu and Kashmir’ programme on weekly basis.”
