J&K reports 145 coronavirus cases, Ladakh 10

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 145 fresh coronavirus cases and one death Sunday, taking the overall COVID-19 figures to 3,21,607 infections and 4,379 deaths, officials said.
Out of the fresh cases, 48 were reported from the Jammu division and 97 from the Kashmir division of the union territory, they said.
They said Srinagar recorded the highest of 32 cases, followed by 25 in Baramulla district.
The number of active cases rose slightly to 1,211 in the union territory, while 3,16,017 patients have recovered so far, the officials said.
The death toll in the union territory due to the pandemic is now 4,379 as one fresh death was reported in a span of 24 hours.
The officials said, the number of confirmed Mucormycosis (black fungus) cases in the union territory remained at 35 with no new cases reported since last evening.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 11777725 test results available, 11456118 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 2850478 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7437 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1211 in isolation and 354480 in home surveillance. Besides, 2482971 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Meanwhile, Ladakh recorded 10 fresh COVID cases, taking the tally to 20,338 while the active cases in the union territory stood at 56, officials said.
Ladakh has registered 207 Covid-related deaths — 149 in Leh and 58 in Kargil — since the outbreak of the pandemic last year. A total of 20,075 patients have recovered till date.

The officials said over 2,000 people were tested for COVID-19 in the two districts on Saturday and nine of them tested positive for the infection in Leh and one in Kargil.
After the detection of the new cases, Leh accounted for 16,784 cases, while the tally in Kargil has gone up to 3,554.
Two patients each were discharged in Leh and Kargil during the past 24 hours, the officials said, adding that there are now 51 active cases in Leh and five in Kargil.
