STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR : Jal Shakti (PHE) Employees and Workers Association on Monday held a protest under the chairmanship of Som Nath Distt. President Jal Shakti (PHE) Employee Association and Vice President of Panthers Trade Union J&K UT at PHE Complex Udhampur. In the protest, employees criticize the attitude of PHE Higher Authorities towards the employees / workers and raised slogans against the ling-rong policies of the PHE Department and non-payment of pending wages (2014-2020) of the Daily Rated Workers. It is unanimously demanded in the protest to keep sheets ready in all over the UT of J&K for payment, so that as and when funds released by the Govt. should be immediately transfer to the accounts of the workers without further delay. They also demanded to make fruitful policy for regularization of daily rated workers who associated with the Department since 25-30 years ago which is very shameful as they put every step of their life towards dark and starvation. Besides release of 11 per cent DA by the Central Govt. of India, employees of UT of J&K are in waiting list and watching the face of anti-employees Govt. Som Nath to Govt./ PHE Higher Authorities to look into the matter personally and resolve the burning issues immediately to avoid the path of protest and agitation. Others who spoke were Vijay Kumar, Suraj Parkash, Krishan Chand, Baldev Raj, Parth Singh, Balveer Singh, Ganesh Chander, Chunni Lal, Dara Singh, Shambu Dutt, Amit Dubey, Kulbir Butt, Vidya Ram and Santosh Chand.
