STATE TIMES NEWS
BANI: Inhabitants of Panchayat Banjal Bhatwal on Monday staged a protest against shortage of staff in NTPHC Banjal. For the last two days people of Panchayat Banjal Bhatwal have been protesting against the administration especially the Health Department for the failure to provide staff at the NTPHC (New Type of Public Health Centre). Youth Club President, Jatinder Singh Patyal who is leading the protest, alleged that there is neither any doctor nor any staff nurse or ancillary paramedical staff. He said that all the posts in the said Public Health Centre are lying vacant and it is really an irony that the established NTPHC has been rendered useless that too at this critical juncture when the third wave of Corona has been anticipated amid the ongoing pandemic. Ex Sarpanch Rattan Chand said that what could be more unfortunate than the fact that at such a crucial time of COVID-19 crises, when people need the enhanced and best medical facilities the condition of the health institutions sans requisite staff is highly deplorable.
Others who joined the protest include Gulchain Singh Patyal, Dharam Singh, Pankaj Singh, Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Dogra.
