STATE TIMES NEWS Nowshera: A lecture was conducted by Kalal Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Govt Middle School, Upper Lamberi on Wednesday on the topic ‘Beti Bchao Beti Padhao’ for the benefit of the local populace of Lamberi Village. The lecture was aimed towards educating the populace about the importance of giving a good upbringing to the girl child by providing her the best facilities and education. The lecture also spread awareness about the ‘Beti Bachavo Beti Padhao’ initiatives of the Government of India that aims to improve the efficiency of welfare services intended for girls in the country. The lecture started with opening remarks of Najma Shaheen, Sarpanch, Lamberi, who emphasized on the importance of caring and educating the girl child by giving examples from her life experiences. Thereafter a detailed lecture was conducted by Capt Shailesh Karma who enumerated the various shames offered by Govt of India for the welfare and education of child. Sangeeta Sharma, Sarpanch Banoti, also attended the lecture.
