Police Academy starts Capacity Building course for ACB officers

Udhampur: Four days course on “Capacity Building” for the officers of Anti Corruption Bureau commenced in Sher- i- Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur in which 23 officers participated.
Mohan Lal, SSP Dy. Director Indoor, Training introduced the audience as well as theme of the course together with design and objectives. Mohd. Suleman Choudhary, Deputy Inspector General of Police Udhampur Reasi Range in his inaugural address expressed that corruption is an insidious plague that has wide ranging ramifications on societies. It undermines democracy and rule of law, allows organized crime including terrorism to flourish. Corruption is key element in economic underperformance. As such there is need to equip the investigating agency with skill and knowledge.
Earlier, Mohan Lal SSP, Dy. Director informed the audience about the design of the course. The Academy is optimistic of reaping good dividends at the end of the course. Eminent speakers from Academia and well skilled officers from Anti Corruption Bureau shall be delivering lectures in the coming days. The inauguration was also attended by Joginder Singh, SSP, ACB, V.K Jamwal, SSP Dy. Director (Outdoor) Suraj Singh AD (Training/ R&D), Ramesh Kumar Pvt. Secy. to Director SKPA, K.K. Sharma, AD(Q). The course is being coordinated by Tahir Hussain AD (Admn).
