JAMMU: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Kavinder Gupta has appealed to the people to further strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the overall development, peace and prosperity of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory and its people.
He voiced this appeal during a programme organized as part of the fortnight celebrations of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Foundation Day, where he along with Vinay Gupta District President BJP distributed old-age pension cards among the fresh 200 beneficiaries.
The senior BJP leader handed over pension cards to the aforesaid beneficiaries during a simple yet impressive programme organized in this connection, by Bharat Bhushan, President Satwari Mandal, Bharatiya Janata Party J&K and Corporator Pawan Singh at Nai Basti in Ward No: 23 of Jammu city.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion, the former Dy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that the Union Govt led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a series of schemes for the common people across the nation. He said that these schemes cover every section of the society including the old age people who figure among the priorities of the government. He asserted that the BJP activists and workers are leaving no stone unturned in making the people aware about various schemes launched by the Govt besides its achievements right upto the grass roots level. Enumerating some of the schemes to make the people aware about the same, he appealed to the people to come forward and avail the benefit of the scheme best suited to them.
The former Dy CM reiterated that the BJP Govt is committed to launch more and more schemes for the welfare of the people in future too. He asked the party cadre to disseminate information about Modi Govt’s flagship schemes in each and every household of Satwari Mandal so that the benefit of such schemes reaches right upto the tail ender in the line of common people.
Highlighting the achievements of the BJP Govt at the Centre, Kavinder Gupta said that BJP believes in the overall development of every nook and corner of the nation and the people of this Union Territory can easily feel the difference with development works going on at unprecedented pace. Moreover, the terrorists and their supporters stand reined in by the security forces. He appealed to the people to strengthen the hands of PM for overall development, peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.
