STATE TIMES NEWS R S PURA: Science Club Committee of Government Degree College R. S. Pura organised an online seminar on the topic “Plastic Waste Management in Jammu City” under the patronage of Principal Dr. G. S Rakwal and guidance of Convener of Science club committee, Dr. Preetpal Kour. The resource person for the event was Sanjeev Arora, CEO, Regional and urban development Agency. The proceedings of the programme was conducted by Prof. Bindu Kumari from Department of Botany and the welcome address was presented by Dr. Preetpal Kour. Sanjeev Arora started his lecture by giving the background of excessive use of plastic in our daily life and how it affects the human health and ultimately leads to environment pollution. Speaking on the event through online platform, Principal of the college, Dr. G. S. Rakwal highlighted the importance of plastic waste management and urged the participants to actively participate in curbing the plastic menace.
