Police clueless; locals allege that patrolling has stopped in the area for the last three months

JAMMU: Thefts in Jammu province is on rise these days and in a recent case thieves have conducted burglary in a temple at Domana and decamped with cash and gold ornaments, however police is clueless about thieves.
As per details, thieves targeted a Shiv Temple at Sangrampura area and decamped with thousands of rupees in donation box along with gold and silver ornaments of idols. The temple management reported matter to Domana police which registered a case. The thieves carried out burglary on intervening night of August 4-5. In morning, when a local Sukhdev Singh, resident of Sangrampur came to temple for offering prayers, he found everything shattered on floor after which management of temple called the police which rushed to the spot and collected evidences. Police scrutinized CCTV footage but is still clueless about thieves. However, irked over burglary in the temple, locals alleged that police has stopped patrolling in the area for the last three months due to which thieves are fearlessly targeting any house or establishment.
Pertinent to mention here that theft cases are on rise in Jammu province as on Tuesday, thieves target a shop at Sure Chak area and decamped with cash and goods. A bike was stolen from Kanha Chak area and a car from Bakshi Nagar area.
