Three criminals arrested with sharp-edged weapons

JAMMU: Police on Thursday averted a gang-war by arresting two criminals with sharp-edged weapons in Gandhi Nagar area while one more was arrested from Parade.
As per details, police received an information that two members of a group carrying sharp-edged are on way to kill a man of rival group. Acting swiftly, police laid a Naka at Shivaji Chowk and signaled a bike to stop but riders, instead of stopping, tried to douse police. They were overpowered by police and during frisking sharp-edged weapons (Tokas) were recovered from their possession. The duo was identified as Rohit Singh, resident of Sector No 6, Nanak Nagar and Aman Choudhary, resident of Channi Himmat. On questioning, they disclosed that they were going to kill a youth in the area. They also disclosed names of their associates for whom manhunt has been launched.
In another incident, Parade Police during patrolling in area arrested a youth with sharp-edged weapon. He was identified as Kuldeep, son of Janipur.
Meanwhile, a clash was erupted in Domana area over land between two neighbourers, in which two persons got injured. They were identified as Gharu Ram and Sita Devi, resident of Marh.
