STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR: On the invitation from Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy, Udampur, (SKPA) Dr. Daleep Pandita, Former Regional Manager of Government of India public sector general insurance company, The New India Assurance Company, delivered lectures on Financial Literacy and Bank Frauds during a weeklong orientation course for the officers of Anti Corruption Bureau of Jammu and Kashmir Police held at Udampur campus of SKPA . The main objectives of these lectures was to create financial literacy and to update the officers of Anti Corruption Bureau of Jammu and Kashmir Police on unseen economic frauds committed in connivance with banks and their representatives by manipulating the operating system for causing financial losses to the public in particular and the exchequer at large. To create massive public awareness on preventing such financial frauds, especially through common mode of mobile networking, was felt during these deliberations. About 25 participants across Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir actively participated in these interactive sessions to gain knowledge about the financial literacy that will prove helpful at their field level operations in effectively reducing economic crimes. It was elaborated in details by Dr. Pandita through various audio visual examples, during which the participating officers cleared their doubts which they usually face while conducting investigation in such economic offences. Course Director, Tahir Hussain while lauding the lectures of Dr. Pandita, along with Suraj Singh, Assistant Director, SKPA, who also acknowledged the vast experience of Dr. Pandita, presented him with a memento as a token of appreciation on behalf of Director and all ranks of SKPA at the end of this programme.
