JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani celebrated ‘World heritage Day’ to raise awareness among students about preserving our heritage sites and also the efforts required to conserve and draw attention towards it.
A special assembly was organized by students to make everyone understand the true meaning of heritage, its preservation through various activities.
The School Principal, Rajesh Rathore, in his message urged students to preserve monuments and made them aware about the condition of heritage sites in and around our vicinity. He discussed at length the dilapidated condition of Samba Fort.
On this great occasion, he whole-heartedly accepted the proposal made by the students of Journalism Club of JKPS to seek appointment from the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to apprise him of the abysmal condition of our heritage structure Samba Fort with various pictures clicked recently.
He appreciated the detailed proposal made by the students to get the work completed under various heads within a stipulated time frame to bring back the lost glory & grandeur of the historical monument. He lauded the students for making their passionate endeavours & for celebrating the day with a noble cause.
He also appreciated all the teachers for instilling such social awareness in students.
