JAMMU: World Book Day was celebrated at J K Public School Panjtirthi with much enthusiasm.
Jakiians were dressed up as a wide range of characters from famous books. Jakiians recited a poem to highlight that reading is an exercise for the brain. A melodious song was sung by the students to define the pleasure of reading.
Students displayed placards to portrait that books teach us about hardships, love, struggle, hardwork, life skills and many more values.
Suman Banbah, the Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi said, “Reading is an investment, which has great returns and books are our true friends. The magic of books has been there since time immemorial.”
She further motivated the students to read as much as they can which will add magic to their lives.
A questionnaire round about the said celebration was conducted by the Principal herself where she motivated each child to answer the asked questions in his / her own words. This questionnaire segment really boosted their morale and helped them with the clarity of speech.
