JAMMU: Pankaj Magotra, on Monday assumed the charge of Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority (JDA). Immediately after assuming the charge, he took an introductory meeting of senior officers and reviewed the functioning of various issues of the Authority.
The meeting was attended by Director Land Management/Collector Land Acquisition JDA, Secretary JDA, Financial Advisor & CAO JDA, Chief Town Planner JDA and Superintending Engineer JDA. Vice Chairman also took round of the office complex and interacted with the officers/officials to have a first-hand account of their functioning and the workplace issues being faced by them.
During the round, Vice Chairman gave various directions to the Superintending Engineering regarding facelifting and better upkeep of the building, cleanliness of wash rooms and other sanitary issues.
He also directed hosting of National Flag and illumination of JDA Head office building as well as on various Divisional offices on the occasion of Independence Day and Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
Directions were also issued to streamline the functioning of the wings of the Department which have direct interface with the public to make these more people friendly.
He exhorted the employees of JDA to work with highest standard of dedication, honesty and transparency expected from a public servant and strictly adhere to COVID Appropriate Behaviour in the office and other public places.
