NAGROTA: Police on Monday nabbed a bootlegger and recovered 54 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per details, a party of Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Nagrota Insp Mohd Showkat while on patrolling duty rounded up a suspect who tried to hide himself, at Nagrota Bazaar. He was identified as Sanjay Kumar Sharma, son of Ashok Kumar Sharma, resident of Shapanoo Kangrail Tehsil & District Reasi. During search, total 54 bottles of illicit liquor i.e., 50 bottles of 180ml each and 4 bottles of 750 ml each, were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and FIR No. 345/2021 under section 48(a) /(f) of Excise Act was registered against him at Police Station Nagrota. The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
