DYSS Rajouri holds Kabaddi events

Participating teams of inter-zone Kabaddi meet posing with guests and officials in Rajouri.

RAJOURI: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) organised district level under-19 boys and girls Kabaddi competition at two different venues of Mini Sports Stadium and Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School Lamberi.
Now, winner teams from both the venues shall compete for the title trophies at Mini Stadium, Rajouri tomorrow. In total, teams from eight zones (upper belt) of the district participated at Mini Stadium while seven other zones (lower belt) contested at the Model School Lamberi.
Earlier, at Lamberi the event was declared open jointly by Sangeeta Sharma (DDC Lamberi) and BDC Siot, Balkrishan Sharma in the presence of Gulzar Ahmed (ZPEO Nowshera). The Results: Girls: Zone Dandesar bt Sunderbani by 16 points. Boys: Zone Nowshera bt Zone Kalakote by three points.
Similarly, at Mini Sports Stadium Rajouri, the declared open by ADDC Rajouri, Pawan Kumar Parihar in the presence of DYSSO Rajouri, Sunil Singh Sambyal. The Results: Girls: Manjakote Zone bt Zone Doongi by 16 points. Boys: Kotranka bt Zone Rajouri by 20 points.
Speaking to the participants, the ADDC appreciated the efforts of the DYSS for conducting the tournaments and advised the students and players to participate in sports on regular basis as the sports was an integral part of the education.
In his welcome address, the DYSSO Rajouri thanked the chief guest for encouraging the players. He highlighted the sports and related activities being organised by the department.
This tournament held under the supervision of Wali Mohd (ZPEO Baljarallan). Over 190 boys and girls took part in this competition.
