NOWSHERA: A retired Captain and his wife were killed in a tragic road accident near Amritsar on Tuesday, when they were on their way back to home from Ludhiana.
According to information, Narinderpal Singh, resident of village Hanjana Thakra, Tehsil Nowshera who had retired from service on January 31, 2021, had taken his ailing wife Gurjeet Kour for medical check-up in a Hospital at Ludhiana in his car bearing registration number JK11C-1695. After getting the medical check-up done, the couple was coming back via Amritsar when they met with an accident and died on the spot. Two other passengers were also travelling with them, who had received minor injuries in the mishap. The police shifted their bodies to local Hospital for completing all legal formalities before handing over the same to family members.
