JAMMU: Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) on Friday organised a division level painting competition for the students who had won the district level competition through virtual mode.
Surinder Billoria, renowned Basholi Painting artist and Suman Chib, (painter, artist) from Jammu were the jury members, while Dr. Milan Sharma, HOD Painting, IMFA, University of Jammu; Ankush Kesar, Print Maker, Department of Painting, IMPA, University of Jammu and Pari Mugdha Nishal, last year’s national award winner in 3D Visual Art form were the special guests on the occasion.
Suhani Radhey from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Nowabad, district Jammu, Master Akshay Pangotra, High School Karli, district Samba, Abhi Verma, HSS Chak Kahna, district Kathua, Tabeen Roshan, GGHSS Kishtwar, district Kishtwar, Diya Katoch, HSS Khellani, district Doda Shagun Sharma, HSS Batote, district Ramban, Misbah Kohli, GHSS Sheesh Mahal, district Poonch Payal Thakur, GHSS, Kalakote, district Rajouri, Master Nidmaan Arif, GHSS Chenani, district Udampur and Arushika Thakur, GHSS Dal, district Reasi participated in the event as the winners of the district level competition that was held on 7th of August 2021. The guests interacted with the participating students and discussed various art forms and painting techniques. In addition to that, they addressed the queries of the students and passed on useful tips to them which would be beneficial in supplementing their skills and talent.
Supriya Sharma was the host and Ashutosh Sharma provided technical support for the event.
