RAJOURI: A boy was killed by paramour of his sister on raising objection over her relationship. Briefing media SSP Rajouri Sheema Nabi, said that on August 11, 2021, FIR No. 538/2021 under sections 302/458 of IPC was registered at Police Station Rajouri based on information that during night, some unknown persons entered house of one Bachan Lal, son of Karam Chand, resident of Chakli and attacked his son, Ankit Bakshi with sharp-edged weapons, due to which he died on the spot.
Based on it, FIR No. 538/2021 under sections 302/458 of IPC was registered at Police Station Rajouri and investigation started. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by DySP Hq, Rajouri was constituted for speedy investigation of the case on merits. Based on investigation by SIT under direct supervision of Addl SP Hq Rajouri, Vivek Shekhar, technical data was examined and witnesses were examined. Acting on leads developed, some suspects were identified and arrested including Rajan Sharma, son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Chingus; accused no. 2 (name withheld until verification of age), resident of Sangpur and Priya Bakshi, daughter of Bachan Lal, resident of Chakli.
Based on sustained questioning, it came to light that accused Rajan and Priya were in a relationship, to which deceased had objected repeatedly and often forcefully. Due to this, a criminal conspiracy was hatched by aforementioned accused to eliminate deceased, who put the plan into action on intervening night of August 10-11. Further investigation of the case is going on.
