Shocked over martyrdom of JCO, injuries to two others

JAMMU: Expressing shock over the. martyrdom of a JCO and injuries to two others in Thannamandi area of Rajouri, Congress has commended the army and security forces for eliminating a militant also while expressing great concern over the rising infiltration and deteriorating security situation in the border belt .
JKPCC Chief Spokesperson and ex-MLC, Ravinder Sharma has lauded the army, security forces and police for bravely and selflessly facing the challenge of rising infiltration and stepped up terrorist activities in the border belt of Rajouri.
He expressed anguish over the martyrdom of a jco and injuries to the jawans who are fighting terrorists least bothering for their lives.
He paid rich tributes to the martyred JCO and expressed sympathies with his family and also prayed for early recovery of the injured jawans.
He also expressed great concern over the noticeable rise in infiltration from across the border/LoC especially in Sunderbani and Nowshera areas in the recent past, as per local inputs and asked the UT government and the Central Government to further step up vigil and presence of security forces in vulnerable areas besides strengthening civil defence immediately, more particularly in view of emerging situation in our neighbourhood.
The party has extended full cooperation to the administration and the forces for dealing with the terrorism and to maintain peace in the area, he asserted.
Meanwhile, Sharma also expressed great concern over the inability to trace a missing boy Rinku Mehra from Nala Makole area of Tehsil Sunderbani and urged the police and security forces to step up efforts to trace the missing boy at the earliest.
