Govt constitutes DPC for releasing non-functional grades in Higher Education Deptt

JAMMU: The government of Friday constituted Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for releasing non-functional grades under Career Advancement Scheme in the Higher Education Department.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a Departmental Promotion Committee for examining the cases of eligible Assistant Professors for release of nonfunctional grades of Rs 7000 & Rs 8000 (pre-revised), under Career Advancement Scheme (2s) notified in terms of SRO-124 of 2014 dated April 21, 2014, in the Higher Education Department,” reads a order issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary, General Administration Department
As per order, the committee will be headed by Administrative Secretary, Higher Education Department as it Chairperson while Special Secretary/Additional Secretary, Higher Education Department will be its Member Secretary. Other Members are Director Finance, Higher Education Department; representative of GAD (not below the rank of Additional Secretary); representative of Department of Law and Justice & Parliamentary Affairs (not below the rank of Additional Secretary); and representative of ARI & Training Department (not below the rank of Additional Secretary).
“The Committee shall recommend cases of eligible Assistant Professors for release of higher grades as per the prescribed eligibility, notified from time to time,” the order stated.
