STATE TIMES NEWS KATHUA: To mark the 77th birth anniversary of India’s Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi Congress activists under the leadership of Former MLC Subash Gupta organized a function at Hiranagar. Former MLC Subash Gupta along with Yugal Kishore Bali, Vinay Sharma Sarpanch, Anant Ram Dogra, Murari Lal, Ramesh Verma Councilor, Ramesh Kundal, and others offered floral tributes to portrait of Rajiv Gandhi. Subash Gupta memorizing his achievements said that he was man of dynamic qualities of leadership, farsightedness. He said that India progressed rapidly under the visionary policies of Late Prime Minster during his tenure as Prime Minister of India. He introduced technology and on the other, he was a big supporter of Panchyat Raj. “He was of the strong opinion that India cannot progress unless and until Panchyat Raj is not introduces in rural India,” he added. Later Magotra along with workers distributed fruits and eatables items to old age home and orphan’s home also. Brij Mohan Sharma also remembered late Gandhi.
