REASI: Deputy Commi ssioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh has greeted people on Raksha Bandhan and said “May the festival be an occasion for re-dedication to the wellbeing of all, particularly those who are weak and need handholding.”
In his message, the DC Reasi extended his warm greetings and good wishes to the general public of Reasi and said, “The festival of Rakhi spreads harmony and celebrates brotherhood. Rakhi is a sacred thread of protection embellished with the affection of a sister for her brother.”
He said that the gesture is “not a mere ritual”, but a “powerful act that obligates everyone to ensure the safety and security of each other ensuring harmony”.
“On this day, let us reiterate our commitment to secure the honour and dignity of women,” the DC added.
