JAMMU: A felicitation function of Corona Warriors of ASCOMS & Hospital was jointly organized by the Management of ASCOMS and ICICI Bank on Wednesday.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. Shashi Sudan, Dean/Principal, Govt. Medical College, Jammu and Vishal Batra, younger brother of Kargil War Hero, Param Veer Chakra Capt. Vikram Batra presided over the function.
The other dignitaries present were D.K Batra, Secretary, ASCOMS & Hospital and Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS & Hospital. The Function was also attended by a large number of faculty members, paramedical staff and other administrative staff of ASCOMS & Hospital and Resident doctors.
Vishal Batra of ICICI Bank highly appreciated the role and performance of doctors and paramedical staff of ASCOMS & Hospital to fight with the deadly Coronavirus Disease during its first and second phase and were all out to treat the Corona patients which needed due recognition and as such ICICI Bank has come forward to felicitate the Corona Warriors of ASCOMS & Hospital for the care given by them to the CoVID patients during these trying situation and overcoming the great crises. In his address, Dr. Pavan Malhotra thanked ICICI Administration for recognizing the efforts put in by the doctors and paramedical staff of ASCOMS & Hospital and arranging this felicitation Function for honoring the Corona Warriors. He said that this goodwill gesture on the part of ICICI will go a long way in strengthening the bond between ASCOMS & ICICI Bank.
A total of 589 COVID patients admitted in ASCOMS & Hospital during first wave with effect from March 31, 2020 to February, 2021 while 396 CoVID patients admitted in ASCOMS & Hospital during second wave from March 18, 2021 till date.
