‘Cong should come clean on remarks made by Sidhu’s advisers on Kashmir’

JAMMU: J&K is fast transforming into “Tourism Capital” from Terrorism Capital, stressed Tarun Chugh, BJP National General Secretary & Prabhari J&K while he along with BJP State President Ravinder Raina welcomed Retd. IGP, CRPF, Sudhir Singh Dogra, Col. Gurbaksh Singh and Arti Kour Gill in BJP.
Narinder Singh Bunty Chairman JMC Health & Sanitation Committee facilitated the joining while BJP Secretary Arvind Gupta, Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan and Media Secretary Dr. Pardeep Mahotra were also present in the programme organized at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Tarun Chugh, while welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, said it is the BJP’s policy which is attracting people in large numbers to serve the society better.
He said that under leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda, J&K is fast transforming into “Tourism Capital” from Terrorism Capital. Development and safety of J&K is the commitment of Modi and BJP is working to reach the target, he said and added that PM has also promised for early polls in J&K but Article 370 is past now.
Condemning former CM Mehbooba for her anti-National mutterings, Chugh said that J&K has outrightly rejected PDP and the Gupkar Gang. It was J&K’s misfortune that these dynasties killed the development here and whenever public solicited response they start speaking language of China and Pakistan. Their nepotism killed democracy in J&K but now BJP is committed to give the leaders from Ballot box.
Tarun Chugh attacked Congress on the remark by advisor of Punjab Congress President Navjot Sidhu where he stated “J&K occupied by India” and asked Congress leaders from J&K to come clear on it. BJP is committed that whole of J&K is integral part of India including the part that is presently in illegal occupation of Pakistan and China, he added.
Chugh also said the Congress should clarify its stand on the recent controversial remarks made by the advisers of the party’s Punjab unit chief, Navjot Singh Sidhu, on Pakistan.
He also said the statements made by Sidhu’s advisers were similar to what Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan Army chief General Q J Bajwa have been telling India.
“The Congress should clarify its stand on the statement of its Punjab unit chief Navjot Singh Sidhu’s advisors on social media platforms that India has occupied Kashmir. This is a seven-decade-long narrative of Pakistan,” Chugh told reporters here.
He said top Congress leaders such as Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and the party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit chief, G A Mir, are yet to clarify their stand in the matter.
“Sidhu’s advisers are saying what Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan Army chief General QJ Bajwa and the ISI chief have been telling India. The language of those who attacked the Indian Army with guns and bombs is now being spoken by Sidhu’s advisers. If the Congress does not agree with it, why have they not issued a denial?” the BJP leader asked.
He said it is a painful reminder of the events during which Sidhu had hugged the Pakistan Army chief when Khan became the prime minister of the neighbouring country and his advisers have now taken a clue from it.
“The entire country knows how friendly Sidhu is to Imran Khan and Bajwa and now, his advisers are serving Sidhu’s cause covertly, which is a big threat to the nation’s integrity,” Chugh said.
Ravinder Raina also welcomed them into the BJP family and said that “The parties like National Conference, Congress and PDP took full liberty to enjoy the privileges of the power corridors, but did nothing to empower this most important pillar of democracy,” and added that it was only the Modi-led government that took “substantial steps” to make sure that the democracy is strengthened at the basic level in the state.
New entrants said that the policies of the BJP leadership are being appreciated by one and all and that is the reason that active social and the political personalities are coming forward to embrace the party to serve the masses.
