JAMMU: The government on Thursday reconstituted J&K Advisory Board for the Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes.
“In supersession of all previous orders, sanction is accorded to the reconstitution of the J&K Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes,”reads an order issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner/Secretary, General Administration Department.
According to the order, Lieutenant Governor shall be the Chairman of the J&K Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes, while Advisor In-charge, Social Welfare Department shall be the Vice-chairman of the Board.
Administrative Secretary, Finance Department; Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department; Administrative Secretary, General Administration Department; Administrative Secretary, Social Welfare Department; Administrative Secretary, Planning Development & Monitoring Department; Administrative Secretary, Law, Justice 8t Parliamentary Affairs; Director, Social Welfare Kashmir and Director, Social Welfare, Jammu shall be the Members of the Board.
Secretary J&K State Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes shall be the Member-Secretary of the Board, besides it shall have non-official Members to be nominated by the Chairman.
