JAMMU: Former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma provided financial assistance of Rupees 75,000 to the family of a PDD lineman who died while discharging his duty some time back at Gole Gujral, Talab Tillo. The funds were collected by the Gole Gujral Shopkeepers welfare association. The BJP leader was also accompanied by District General Secretary Rajesh Gupta, Mandal President Keshav Chopra, Corporator Ward 32 Sat PaUl Karlupia and many others.
The lineman Late Darshan Lal who was working at Talab Tillo was badly injured and succumbed to his injuries while doing his duty.
While speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the officers should ensure that these types of incidents do not occur in future. He called for following a proper procedure and taking all necessary safety measures to avoid such incidents during fixing of snags and carrying other works.
President shopkeeper Welfare Association Harvinder Singh Vicky, Harcharan Singh, Arun Dubey, Rajesh Saini, Abhishek Sharma, PK Bhat and many others were also present.
