KATHUA: ARTO Kathua, Neeraj Sharma on Saturday Challaned 33 vehicles of various violations of MV Act.
As per directions of RTO Kathua Sunil Kumar, a team of officials led by ARTO Kathua, Neeraj Sharma along with MVI Vivek Kumar and other checking staff conducted extensive road checking at Billawar and adjoining rural areas. During the course of checking, approximately 65 vehicles were checked, out of which 20 vehicles were compounded and 13 vehicles were Challaned. A fine of Rs 12,000 was recovered on the spot and expected amount of Rs 86,000 is likely to be recovered out of Challans. Team also conducted general awareness camps at village Dhabi Morh and Mandli, during which drivers, conductors and general public were sensitized about road safety rules.
