STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: Samba team of We The Humans on Sunday planted more than one hundred tree saplings at SIDCO Ground Bari Brahmna under leadership of Prashant Singh Charak, Puneet Singh Charak and Balkar Singh. Prashant Singh informed that today’s plantation drive is part of the trust’s target set up to plant 1500 saplings in Samba district by end of this month. Meanwhile, Retd Principal District & Session Judge K Y S Manhas Chairman of We The Humans asked the government to come out with a concrete policy cum plan to curtail emissions of green gases upto a considerable level. Capt. Lalit Sharma, APCCF (Retd) Vice Chairman of the Public Charitable Trust informed that the world has been witness to extraordinary climate events recently right from cloud bursts to thunderstorms, unexpected floods, burning down of forests, fast melting glaciers, forming of new lakes resulting in floods across the globe – the impacts of climate change are already widespread and accelerating.
