The BJP on Friday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of paying the New York Times to spotlight its education minister Manish Sisodia, a charge that the Arvind Kejriwal-led party labelled as “outrightly funny and stupid”. Refuting the advertisement accusation by the BJP, the American newspaper told a media group that the article was a result of independent and impartial ‘on-the-ground reporting’.
