JAMMU: J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu has notified election schedule for electing office bearers. As per a notification issued on Friday, the last date for filing nomination papers has been fixed as February 10, 2023 upto 4 PM. For now, 5 nominations have been received for post of President and 3 for the post of Vice President. 2 nominations have been received for post of General Secretary, 2 for the post of Joint Secretary while 4 nominations have been received for the post of Treasurer. The candidates who have filed papers for the post of President are Advocates K Nirmal Kotwal, Parveen Kapahi, Sachin Gupta, Surinder Kour and Vikram Sharma. Advocates Amit Gupta, Jasvinder Singh (Jassi) and Monish Chopra have filed nomination for the post of Vice President. Those who have filed nomination for the post of General Secretary are Advocates Ajay Bakshi and Parvesh Singh Slaria while Advocates Chetan Misri and Shiv Dev Thakur have applied for the post of Joint Secretary. Those who will try their luck for the post of Treasurer are Advocates Gaurav Arora, Suhail Bharti, Utkarsh Pathania and Vikram Singh Sohil. It was further notified that scrutiny of nomination papers shall be held on 13-02-2023 at 1.30 PM in office of President / Returning Officer, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu while elections will be held on February 25, 2023.
