In continuation to take tough action and to check the illegal activities of bovine smugglers Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua R C Kotwal today rescued 16 bovines.
Police team led by Inspector Sumeet Sharma SHO P/S Lakhanpur under the supervision Dy. SP DAR Kathua Sukhdev Singh noticed one closed body Truck bearing registration No. HR58A. During checking 16 bovines, 08 Cows & 08 Ox rescued which were loaded in the said truck.
Driver fled away after parking the truck few distance away from naka point. A case has been registered at Police Station Lakhanpur and further investigation are going on.
