JAMMU: Observing 9th Nirwan Divas of KP community leader Late Pt Amar Nath Vaishnavi as ‘Unity & Solidarity Day for community cause’, the Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) on Thursday paid rich tributes to legendary leader of community.
While remembering great leader, President KPC, Kundan Kashmiri said that Late A N Vaishnavi was an unchallenged community leader with innate qualities like courage, honesty, integrity, strong determination and boundless capacity to work for humanity in general, and displaced KPs in particular.
President KPC appealed to entire community, especially displaced KPs, to take a pledge for carrying forward his mission of community and country service besides fighting community tormentors as well as those responsible for ethnic cleansings and other miseries.
Prominent KPC leaders present on the occasion included Dr H L Saraf, Tej Pandita, M K Raina, Susheel Bhat, R L Raina and Rajender Dhar.
Meanwhile, Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha also held a functions to pay rich tribute to legendary leader Pt Amar Nath Vashnavi on ‘9th Nirwan Divas’. A number of members of Sabha, Kashmiri Khatri Yuva Sabha, Displaced Kashmiri Unemployed Youth Union paid tributes to legendary leader under the leadership of President of Sabha, Ramesh Chander Mahajan. A two-minute silence was also observed in the honour of great leader.
