STATE TIMES NEWS GANDERBAL: Acting tough against social crimes, Ganderbal Police on Saturday arrested 4 gamblers and seized stake money from their possession. Acting on specific information, a police party from Police Post Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal raided a gambling site at Rabitar following an input about gambling activities and apprehended four gamblers. They have been identified as Mohammad Akhter Dar son of Ghulam Rasool Dar resident of Lathi Authkhuroo, Farooq Ahmad Guru son of Ali Mohd Guru, Bashir Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Salam Khan and Ghulam Rasool Gulla son of Ghulam Nabi Gulla, all residents of Narayan Bagh, Ganderbal. Officers have seized stake money of ? 11,300/- and playing cards from the gamblers. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody. In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 144/2021 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal and further investigation has been taken up.
