India needed wickets to bring life into the contest but Head and Labuschagne showed great temprament, ensuring there was no fairytale win for the hosts. The draw meant India clinched the series 2-1 and also sealed the World Test Championship final berth, courtesy a dramatic last-ball thrilling New Zealand win over Sri Lanka in the first Test in Christchurch.
