DB directive in PIL on religious structures

JAMMU, May 19: In a suo-moto Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding illegal religious structures come up by way of encroachment on public land, a Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court comprising Chief Justice N Kotiswar Singh and Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi has made it clear that in case report in terms of order dated December 22, 2020 is not filed within a period of two weeks a cost of Rs 10,000 will be imposed on the concerned officer/official and the same will be recovered from the salary.
The High Court vide order dated 17th February 2023 had granted four weeks time to S S Nanda, Senior Additional Advocate General, for filing the report in terms of order dated 22nd  December 2020 but the same has not been filed till date.
